Most excellent crowdfunding ‘pitch’ videos to give you inspiration

Crowdfunding video-spiration <3

Here’s a pseudo-mood board of some great crowdfunding (aka pitch) videos we wanted to highlight for things like their creativity, resourcefulness, and more. Read on!

1) A great video by Amy Andrews shot totally on an iPhone.

This project video adds depth by including not several clips from previously shot videos (on an iPhone). The takeaway: Cutting in other footage to your interview/talking will help keep the story moving along! Yes, you could have the video be one shot of you talking, but why not go the extra mile and shoot some additional footage (ESPECIALLY if you're shooting on an iPhone, because there's no reason to not be shooting stuff when the camera lives in your pocket).

2) An example of connecting your project to A BIGGER IDEA, a project by People The Kangaroo.

“What are you?” is the question People The Kangaroo asks at the start of their Kickstarter video. They ask people on the street to answer this question and put for the premise that you are more than your work.

3) An example of being RESOURCEFUL, a project by Swale.

This band combined public domain footage and pictures from the internet* to make the best video within their means. Kudos to them!

4) An example of using CREATIVITY to your advantage. Thanks Sherwood.

Creativity. What a weapon. Here you’ll see Sherwood pitch their idea via the language of Back To The Future.

5) A great use of B-Roll and additional media to help drive your message.

Terra Naomi’s project video combined all sorts of media into her video, which only amplified her message by painting a great picture of her story. Here project made over 50K with almost 597 backers in total!
